Zylog Systems (Ottawa) Ltd (“Zylog”) is now authorized in the Federal Government for a new SA domain for Solution-Based Informatics Professional Services (SBIPS): Information Management Business Intelligence.
“Solutions-Based Informatics Professional Services (SBIPS) is a method of supply comprising of services and, in certain situations, essential goods, whereby a supplier defines and provides a solution to a requirement, manages the overall requirement, phase or project and accepts responsibility for the outcome”1.
The SBIPS Supply Arrangements are divided into 11 domains of expertise. Certain companies, like Zylog, can qualify for more than one domain. Zylog had already qualified for “Legacy Support and Transportation” domain for all regions, and now Zylog qualifies also for Information Management Business Intelligence (IM / BI) for all regions.
IM/BI domains of expertise are “services aimed at providing knowledge workers with easy and timely access to the right information, on demand, from wherever it is created or maintained within the organization. Services range from strategy to implementation of ad hoc query, report writing, decision support analytics, content management, document management and records management.”2
